I have recently had phlebectomies at The Veincentre and am really pleased with the results. The before, during and aftercare service was great: friendly, professional and efficient. I felt like I was in safe hands and would really recommend The Veincentre for anyone considering treatment.

Vein Centre are the only people who successfully manage to treat my thread and varicose veins. I had EVLA 7 years ago by Dr David West and was absolutely thrilled with the results. Seven years later returned for Foam sclerotherapy and micro sclerotherapy with Dr Sam Stuart to treat thread veins and a couple of larger veins, and very happy with the treatment/results I have received. I will continue to visit the practice for further treatments if required in the future as they are the only place where their treatment works and do not overcharge.

great treatment, and well executed. I listened to a podcast during the hour treatment to disctract myself from the pain, pretty mild if you don't focus on it, then went shopping on Kingsroad before getting a tube home on time to pick up the kids from school. I still have stains three months later, they will fade, and it's not a big deal in comparison to the enormous, painful bulging veins Dr West successfully removed.

Thank you for taking time to leave this and I’m very pleased to hear you are happy. As you say the staining will fade don’t worry.

I have been living with unsightly varicose veins for years so I was pleased with the results from this virtually pain free and non invasive vein treatment . The procedure and aftercare was explained thoroughly and I was made to feel completely at ease I am now ably to wear skirts and shorts with confidence . Thank you

Please do not use this company, I was recommended treatment in 2013 for dark unsightly veins on my calves, I was in no pain apart from feeling depressed and unhappy with my legs for many years. I was told Clarivein would be the suitable treatment to remove the discoloration on my calves and went ahead with the treatment mid 2014. My follow up care was totally unsatisfactory, I even had to make a complaint to get a further procedure which was meant to be included in my follow up appointment. I paid £150 for each appointment with the veincentre, my follow up appointment was unbelievably no longer than 5 mins, the Clarivein treatment I was told would help clear my legs has not done anything but left me angry and amazed there are companies out there misdiagnosing patients and not being open and honest before making recommendations on treatments. I have never had such a terrible experience with a company. I am left with the scars still on my calves and nearly £3000 out of pocket and a poor excuse from the doctor who misdiagnosed me. I urge anyone thinking of having treatment at the veincentre to look elsewhere to have cosmetic surgery performed.

Response from Veincentre London

Although this review is written anonymously from the description I remember this patient well. I am really sorry that he is disappointed with the results but must stress that this was an unusual case and I can remember stressing that although it would be worth trying Clarivein treatment no guarantee could be given that the discolouration would be improved. We always are honest with patients about the anticipated outcomes but even when informed that there is a fair chance that treatment may fail to give the desired result, if this fails to materialise then some are very upset. I am proud of our record of patient satisfaction which is very high and certainly one disappointed patient is no reason for his assertion to “please do not use this company”. To avoid such poor reviews we could decide to treat only those whom we can anticipate will be perfectly happy. That would be unfair though on patients who have unusual presentations, are well aware that treatment may not work but who wish to take that risk. We have had many who fit this description who have been denied treatment elsewhere but have been offered treatment with us and have been delighted that they have.

I had laser surgery here in September 2014. The results have not been as expected, and 18 months have passed since treatment, so I think the full effect has taken place. The surgery was far more painful than I was led to believe and I was sent out into London's Friday night rush hour feeling very vulnerable and in great pain. The Clinic seemed very dismissive of me once I had handed my money over! I can still see several veins on the surface of my leg, but was told that I could go back and pay EXTRA fees for more treatment- Of course, I declined. Would not recommend and didn't feel that I was properly cared for throughout.

I am sorry you are disappointed with the results but from what you say it is most likely that you simply require some further foam sclerotherapy. All patients are fully informed of the need for this in most cases and informed of the cost of this which is reasonable as are all our prices especially compared to the competition. We do operate in a central London location and all patients are advised to bring a companion with them to go home with them after treatment although this is not usually necessary. All our treatments are outpatient based as this is what the vast majority of patients prefer. It is walk in walk out and if carried out in the centre of a big city this inevitably means going out into the crowd afterwards. Your perception of the way we cared for you is way out of kilter with the perception of the vast majority of patients. I am sorry about that but am at a loss to understand why as we go out of our way to ensure all are cared for as we would wish to be cared for ourselves.

I had Evla done on my varicose veins in August-15. I found the treatment painful and although nearly a year's gone by not only do I still have bruising but it looks like one of the veins is making a re-appearance. I had high hopes and have found myself terribly disappointed! I wish I had put myself on the NHS waiting list for vein stripping instead and saved myself a lot of money!

Response from Veincentre London

I am sorry that you have not returned to us with the persisting issues. If any small veins reappear after EVLA treatment they can usually be easily dealt with with further foam sclerotherapy injections which are quick and safe. I can assure you that it is far better to have EVLA than surgery mainly because of the very high recurrence rate following surgery. Veins can recur after EVLA but we have just analysed our figures over last few years and our recurrence rate of patients requiring any further treatment is 1.6% or less than 1 patient in every 50 treated. This is remarkably low. Private medicine is expensive by its nature. In fact all healthcare whether NHS or private is expensive. However we do make every effort to keep our prices reasonable and we are far more competitively priced than all our competitors.

I had laser surgery and injections in July and August and I am still waiting for my legs to look acceptable I have staining up the front of my right leg which although it has faded a bit is still noticeable and I feel that will probably never go completely,on top of that I still have some black lumpy areas which should have gone by now but have'nt.i certainly don't have the result I expected and that I was led to believe, basically I think they over promised and under delivered. I resorted to another private vascular surgeon to get a second opinion and he thinks that my legs will not improve much more at this stage,I would not not have had the surgery if I had known the result was not going to be cosmetically pleasing and i basically feel I wasted a lot of money Mrs marguerite williams

Response from Veincentre London

I am very sorry that you were not yet happy with the outcome of your treatment at the date of writing this review in Dec 2015 but since then we have met in April 2016 and things were settling down nicely. You still had some skin staining but I have advised that as this is still improving it is likely to continue to do so and should eventually resolve. It is a nuisance that staining can occur after any treatment to leg veins. There is nothing that can be done to prevent this but all patients are warned of the possibility and the timeframe of its expected fading.
